Rojas Empire of Design is Ontario’s leading permit design and consulting firm specializing in real estate investor (REI) projects. From duplex and triplex conversions to large-scale multi-unit retrofits, we’ve completed 750+ unit conversions across 25+ municipalities.
We’re growing and seeking a Jr Project Manager with BCIN Large Building and Structural qualifications to join our team. This is a supporting role, working alongside the Principal Designer/Owner to manage projects, coordinate with consultants and municipalities, and apply BCIN expertise to keep projects moving efficiently.
Your Role
As Jr Project Manager, you’ll support the owner by overseeing permit projects from intake through approval. Your BCIN Large Building and Structural qualifications will allow us to expand our in-house scope and streamline coordination on both small and large investor-focused projects.
Daily Duties
Assist the owner with zoning and OBC reviews (Parts 3, 9, and 11).
Prepare architectural permit drawings in Revit for city submission.
Apply Large Building and Structural BCIN expertise to review and stamp drawings when required.
Coordinate with in-house drafting team (reviewing As-built sets)
Coordinate with engineers (mechanical, electrical, fire protection) as needed.
Communicate with municipalities on permit applications and examiner responses.
Provide client updates under the direction of the owner.
Conduct site visits to review existing conditions when required.
Maintain project files, permit correspondence, and design checklists.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met.
What We're Looking For
Valid BCIN qualifications for Large Building and Structural (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (Parts 3, 9, and 11).
1+ years of experience with building permit/design projects.
Proficiency in Revit.
Experience coordinating with municipalities and consultants.
Clear, professional communication skills with clients and city staff.
A team-player mindset — comfortable working in a supporting role with leadership.

Compensation & Growth
Base Salary: $60,000/year.
